4th grade Welcome to the Web

The 4th grade students have been busy learning about the web/Internet with an online activity titled Welcome to the Web. They have completed 4 out of 7 sections so far and will be completing the other 3 sections shortly before Winter Break. So far they have learned about Getting Started Online, Staying Safe, and Using Your Browser. Some information they should be able to bring home and use are: what are hyperlinks and what do they do, what does the Back Button do, what are web browsers and name a few, where is the address bar, and how do you add a bookmark/favorite on your web browser.

In the coming month they will be learning about different punctation marks to use to search more easily within a search engine, how to print from the Internet, how to use the Find tool, and completing a challenge to put all of their information to use in a game like setting.

Please help the students out with this information at home also, as it is more imperative for them to be using this information and these skills at home with you.
